We do not want to ghettoize or tokenize Canadian literature, or teach a book for its author’s origin rather than its aesthetic strength, but left alone, we do not seem to cherish that strength where indeed it can be found.

Dear Life is the best thing I have read in so long. The title isn’t “Dear Life” as you would write if you were composing a letter. Rather, it’s in reference to holding on for dear life. The stories drip of truth and I just can’t recommend reading them enough. 
Amazing: 
I have never kept diaries. I just remember a lot and am more self-centered than most people.
